Privacy Policy — AI Overview Blocker for Google

Last updated: July 2026

This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, or user activity.

What the extension does

AI Overview Blocker for Google modifies the visual display of Google Search results pages within your own browser. It hides specific elements (such as the AI Overview box, the AI Mode tab, Sponsored Links, and other categories you choose to enable) by adding CSS rules to the page you are viewing. This happens entirely locally, in real time, as you browse.

What data is stored

The only data this extension stores is your own settings — which categories you have chosen to hide (for example, "AI Overviews: on" or "Sponsored Links: off"). This is stored using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API, which keeps the data only on your own device.
